The Bucharest office of CEE/SEE law firm Wolf Theiss continues its expansion by adding six new lawyers within the following practice groups: Projects, Energy & Infrastructure, Dispute Resolution, Corporate / M&A and Employment. Following the recent announcement of seven lawyers joining the law firm in the first half of 2022, Wolf Theiss welcomes six new lawyers.

On July 1, 2022, Vladimir Plugarescu joined Wolf Theiss as a Senior Associate within the Projects, Energy & Infrastructure team. He has over 8 years of experience as a lawyer, specializing in the areas of energy and natural resources, environmental law, health, real estate, corporate and mergers and purchases. Before joining the Wolf Theiss team, Vladimir was a lawyer in two Romanian law firms – NNDKP and Pachiu & Asociații, being responsible for legal assistance on many major projects and energy transactions. He previously worked as legal counsel at two companies, where he advised numerous clients on regulatory and environmental issues for the development of commercial real estate projects and the negotiation of FIDIC agreements. Vladimir graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest in 2010 and holds a Master’s degree in International Business Law from Tilburg University, Faculty of Law (class of 2011). In 2014 he was admitted to the Bucharest Bar.

Gabriela Pătraşcan recently joined Wolf Theiss as a senior associate in the dispute resolution team. Previously, Gabriela worked at SCA Davo & Asociații as a lawyer and at CII Alice Matache Mirela as a trainee insolvency practitioner, providing legal assistance and representation in court related to various legal issues such as: insolvency, limited liability actions initiated by third parties against the joint venture, annulment of shareholder decisions, termination of lease contracts, disputes regarding the state’s obligation to issue an administrative act, sale cancellation proceedings assets in liquidation proceedings, registration of national brands. Previously, Gabriela was a Senior Associate at SCP Mitel & Asociații, where she focused on legal assistance and representation in: litigation, daughters of enforcement proceedings, appeals against enforcement documents/procedures, claims related to unfair terms, European Union trademark registration, patent infringement and destruction of goods imported in violation of intellectual property rights. Gabriela has been a qualified lawyer since 2014. She holds an LLB from the University of Bucharest – Faculty of Law, 2012 (license thesis “Unfair terms in rental contracts”) and two LL.M., one Master’s degree in European and International Business Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Franco-Romanian Legal College for European Studies), 2013 and a master’s degree in tax law from the University of Bucharest – Faculty of Law, 2022. In addition, in 2015, Gabriela graduated from the National Institute for the Training and Advancement of Lawyers. She has been a member of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners since October 2021.

Dumitru Colcer is a partner in the Wolf Theiss Bucharest office and a member of the dispute resolution team. Prior to joining the Wolf Theiss team in mid-July, Dumitru worked for a leading Romanian law firm, focusing on drafting and formatting legal documents and conducting various legal research . In 2021, Dumitru graduated from the Law Faculty of “Babes-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca. In April 2022, he was admitted to the Bucharest Bar.

Roxana Balica recently joined the Corporate / M&A team of Wolf Theiss as an Associate. Previously, Roxana worked for a Romanian law firm, focusing on commercial registry operations; draft sole shareholder decisions, general shareholder decisions, declarations, powers of attorney and other necessary documents; provide legal advice and guidance for civil or commercial agreements, including the drafting and interpretation of clauses; representing and assisting clients before the authorities. Prior to that, she was a partner in two local law firms. Roxana graduated from the Faculty of Law of “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca in 2018, then pursued a master’s degree in business law at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, in 2021. In 2018, she was admitted to the University of Bucharest. Bar.

Marius Moldoveanu is an Associate within the Corporate / M&A team. Prior to recently joining Wolf Theiss, Marius was a legal intern at three local law firms. He was also a volunteer for the Red Cross and “Ideo Ideis”. Marius holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, 2021. Marius was admitted to the Bucharest Bar in April 2022.

Mid July 2022, Ioana Jacob joined Wolf Theiss as a partner in the Employment team. Previously, Ioana worked for a Romanian law firm, carrying out consulting assignments in several areas such as: civil and corporate law, labor GDPR, intellectual property, tax law and litigation. She also offered legal assistance and representation before the courts in matters of civil law, contraventions law and labor law. Ioana graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest in 2017, then pursued a master’s degree in labor law from the same university in 2018. In October 2018, she was admitted to the Bucharest Bar.
