Snyder building construction recently completed TI’s construction of a 7,000 square foot medical office building at 20 W Dry Creek Circle in Littleton for Colorado Primary Health Care, an internal medicine and primary care practice.

The existing single-storey building previously housed several offices and a veterinary clinic. Snyder gutted the entire interior of the building to create a new combined space. The layout includes examination rooms, test rooms equipped with refrigeration and an x-ray room. The x-ray room required a shielding study to calculate the radiation power. Lead-lined walls and window frames were installed and tests were carried out to confirm the radiological isolation of the X-ray room.

Due to the age of the building, it does not have sprinklers or fire alarms. To accommodate this and bring the building up to standard, Snyder built walls with higher than normal fire resistance. The HVAC system has been fitted with a fire damper, which will shut down the system if a fire is detected as an additional fire protection device.

LED lighting was installed throughout to improve efficiency, and a generator was added to protect vaccines and machinery during a power outage.
