Seagate Development Group completed the build platform and began vertical construction of the 35,000 square foot Rice Insulation & Glass facility at Alico Trade Center. It will be the first tenant of the 40-acre Seagate-owned business park, just off Alico Road and I-75.
When completed, it will include 3,000 square feet of office space for sales and management teams, such as a reception area with a workstation, a conference room, four oversized offices with 10 work, three standard offices, training and break rooms, and cupboards and toilets. Additional space is reserved for a warehouse of insulation materials, glass, shower doors and shelving as well as dock and upper level doors and 100 parking spaces. It will be surrounded by other single-tenant, flex and / or industrial buildings.
“We are honored to have Rice participate in our design-build process, during which we serve as a single point of contact and manage all parties involved in the project,” said Matt Price, CEO and Partner of Seagate Development Group. “After discussing their needs, we came up with a solution that should improve operational efficiency without the barriers typical of a multi-tenant environment they are used to. The Alico corridor was chosen strategically, based on its location in the market and access to the I-75 freeway.
This independent building is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter. Studio + is the architect, while Quattrone & Associates is the civil engineer.
