Every home improvement reality show has the big reveal – the moment the designer can finally show the client their hard work. It almost always ends with tears, both tears of joy and tears of horror. Fortunately, you will soon be able to recreate this iconic moment in The sims 4, playing like a official designer at home.

The publisher of The Sims Electronic Arts announced a new game pack on Thursday: Dream Home Decorator. Developer Maxis revealed the Game Pack on YouTube, following a channel of teasers on social networks this suggested that a new creative career path was coming. Gamers had started to speculate that the Game Pack could be linked to an interior design career – and they were right.

the Dream Home Decorator Game Pack will be released on June 1 for $ 19.99. It builds on one of the funniest parts of The Sims – designing and creating houses. Some people – like me – spend most of our time creating our own versions of Upper Fixator, renovate and decorate houses. Now, The sims 4 players can officially have the job title for their sims.

The trailer, released Thursday, shows how the Game Pack works: Players will receive prompts from interior design customers and will have to rethink spaces based on tastes, dislikes, budget, and customer needs. Sometimes it will be a one-piece renovation. Other times it may be “redoing an entire lot or renovating commercial spaces,” Maxis said in a press release.

With the Game Pack, Maxis adds new furniture and home items to the game – like sectional sofas, modular shelving, hobs and wall ovens. (It’s also likely the Game Pack that will add the base game update to improve the highly sought after bunk beds. You can see them in the trailer.)

As with any real home design salon, The sims 4The Dream Home Decorator Pack will also allow players to make a big reveal about the renovation, with before and after comparisons (and sometimes crying).

The sims 4 players have a wealth of content coming up during the summer season. On Monday, Maxis revealed a Sims Summer Roadmap which outlined a bunch of new content to come – including a new Backyard Oasis Kit, a “virtual block party” for Pride, three base game updates, and a new expansion pack for nature lovers. In the teaser image, Maxis also describes a “Sims Summer Event”, where players can “go wild.”

These updates and packs will be released during the summer, from May to July, the developer said. Some of the updates have already been announced, like the Courtyard Oasis Kit.
